Tutoring
Participate During: Anytime, Fall and Winter Semesters, Spring and Summer Terms
Tradition Challenge: Get a tutor, or become one, through Y-Serve's BYU Tutoring Services.
Find a Tutor, Be a Tutor
Y-Serve's BYU Tutoring Services offers free, volunteer, peer-to-peer tutoring for the majority of classes. If you're stuck on a concept or want a second perspective before a big exam, there's likely a fellow student ready to help. All tutors have earned a B or higher in the course they tutor. Want to give back instead? Tutors commit to just 1–3 flexible hours a week and can get started with a quick application and orientation.
President Gordon B. Hinckley once said that tutoring blesses both people involved: the one being helped, and the one doing the helping. This is proof that some of the best learning at BYU happens student to student.
