Come Sit a While
Tucked into the south end of campus, the Bertrand F. Harrison Arboretum and Botany Pond, better known as the Duck Pond, has been part of BYU longer than most buildings on campus. Wander the brick trails, feed the ducks (corn, peas, or oats, never bread), or sit on a bench and let the noise of campus fade away.
It's been a favorite study break and quiet retreat for generations of students. As BYU botany professor Thomas Black once put it: "It's been there since before the school. It'll probably be there after."

- Head to the Duck Pond on the south end of campus, near the Life Sciences Building
- Walk the trails, feed the ducks, or just sit and relax
- Submit your participation on Traditions Keeper to complete the challenge and consider sharing a photo with us!
