Cougstival
Dates: November 9-14, 2026
Tradition Challenge: Join BYU's weeklong service scavenger hunt and rack up points for good.
A Scavenger Hunt with Heart
Cougstival turns service into a game. Using the Goosechase app, students complete "missions": small acts of service like writing thank-you notes, learning about campus resources, or helping a stranger. Throughout the week, students earn points toward prizes with every mission completed.
The week builds to a capstone service project where students, alumni, and their families all participate. Past projects have woven plastic bags into sleeping mats for people experiencing homelessness. Service doesn't have to be a chore. It can be a scavenger hunt, a competition, and a connection between generations of Cougars.
