BYU Lazy Triathlon
Participate During: The month of October
Tradition Challenge: Complete a full Ironman, on your own schedule, over the course of a month.
Your Ironman, Your Pace
The Lazy Triathlon takes the intimidation out of triathlon training. Swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles, the exact distances of a full Ironman, but spread it across an entire month instead of a single grueling day. Log your miles whenever and wherever works for you—one lap, one mile, one ride at a time.
It started in 2011 when BYU's Student Wellness founder heard the idea from a couple visiting from Idaho, and it's become a tradition ever since. Groups of coworkers, friends, and families across the country tackle it together, 10-year-olds and 80-year-olds alike. Complete the challenge and turn in your tracking sheet for a finisher's T-shirt, becoming part of the BYU Student Wellness community along the way.
